    Executive Director Willie Smith

    Mr. Smith serves as NWSCDC’s new Executive Director as of January 1, 2020. Mr. Smith previously served as Director of Lending, managing the organization’s business lending program and leading workforce development efforts. His experience with banking and economic development initiatives assists NWSCDC in developing its long-term strategy for Milwaukee’s northwest side. Mr. Smith is a certified Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) through the National Development Council.

    Office Manager Antoinette Nelson

    Ms. Nelson has been with the NWSCDC since 1997, and brings extensive experience in managing funds, records, and procedural components of the agency.

  • Andrew Haug

    Resource Development Manager Andrew Haug

    Andrew Haug is responsible for all aspects of fundraising, including grant-writing and reporting, for NWSCDC. He brings years of non-profit sector experience, including fundraising and education. His training in urban planning also contributes to NWSCDC activities with economic development and urban redevelopment around Milwaukee’s Northwest Side.

  • Sheila Smith

    NSP Coordinator Sheila Smith

    Sheila Smith is responsible for the Neighborhood Strategic Planning (NSP) Area 3 for the city of Milwaukee.  Born and raised in Milwaukee, Ms. Smith grew up in the Harambee Neighborhood.  She brings to community organizing her years of experience as an advocate for children and families primarily in the legal environment.  Ms. Smith is passionate about residents’ being heard, and fueling the transformation of their neighborhood.

  • Sarah Bregant

    Community Development Specialist Sarah Bregant

    Sarah Bregant leads environmental, stormwater management, and Complete Streets / multi-modal transportation activities for NWSCDC, with a specific focus on the future MMSD West Basin at 35th and Congress.  She earned a Master of Urban Planning from UW-Milwaukee, and previously completed graduate internships with the City of Milwaukee and Southeastern Wisconsin Watersheds Trust, gaining extensive experience in brownfield redevelopment and green infrastructure.  She collaborates on various projects in the 30th Street Industrial Corridor.

    Business Resource Manager Ebony Johnson

    Ebony Johnson joins NWSCDC as its Business Resource Manager. With nearly a decade in the public and non-profit sectors, Ebony has significant experience working with entrepreneurs and advancing initiatives that support economic mobility. At NWSCDC, she is responsible for cultivating and managing the newly launched social enterprise incubator program and for developing a robust resource program to aid businesses operating in the City of Milwaukee. Ebony earned a B.A. in English from Georgetown University and M.P.A. from the University of San Francisco.

    NSP Coordinator Raymond Monk

    Raymond Monk is responsible for the Neighborhood Strategic Planning in Area 4 for the City of Milwaukee. Mr. Monk is a native of Milwaukee and he has been involved in numerous events to help improve the quality of life for the citizens of our city. He has a passion to help transform our city one block at a time.

    NSP Coordinator Danitra Jones

    Danitra Jones serves as a Community Organizer, and is responsible for the Neighborhood Strategic Planning in Area 1. Danitra earned her MBA from Walden University in Health Education and Promotion. Danitra brings years of experience working with community based non-profit organizations in the City of Milwaukee.
