A Message from the Executive Director on COVID-19
A Message from the Executive Director
As the world, our nation and the community come to grips with the extent of the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, it is also our goal to make responsible choices, being sure to act with everyone's best interests at the forefront.
Following guidance from the CDC, the World Health Organization and local health officials, we are taking action to reduce the potential for exposure to the virus for both our staff and the communities we serve. To that end the Northwest Side Community Development Corporation (NWSCDC) will be closed effective Wednesday, March 18th until further notice. Management staff will monitor the status of this outbreak and keep our constituents informed of when business hours will resume. To carry out this change, NWSCDC staff are not to attend group or face-to-face meetings, but are encouraged to use phones and video conferencing along with social media aspects to communicate with business partners and residents. All events and meetings hosted by NWSCDC staff are postponed and will be rescheduled once the outbreak subsides.
Keep Yourself and Your Community Healthy.
Respectfully,
Willie Smith, EDFP
Executive Director
Northwest Side Community Development Corporation
