ALERT - See below for a meeting invitation hosted by the City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works.  DPW staff are working with many stakeholders to explore safety improvements for N 35th Street near W Capitol Drive.  NWSCDC is helping to promote this event.  Read all the way to the bottom for the website for "Connecting the Corridor."

Your input is needed for Traffic Safety Improvements along N. 35th StreetPlease join the Dept. of City Development, Dept. of Public Works, and Safe and Healthy Streets for a walk along N. 35th Street to discuss traffic safety issues and possible improvements. The walk will depart from 3850 N. 35th St., travel north to the intersection of N. 35th St., Hope, and Hopkins, and return to the starting point via N. 35th St. An alternative, non-walk option will be hosted at the same time.Your input at this event will help DPW design and implement traffic safety improvements along N. 35th Street from Townsend to Congress.Connecting the Corridor | N. 35th Street Walk & DiscussionSaturday, May 11th1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.3850 North 35th Street (Department of Public Works Field Office)Light snacks provided.   • 1 PM: Brief presentation at 3850 N. 35th St.
  • 1:30 PM: Depart for walk OR remain for "virtual" walk along N. 35th St.
  • 2:30 PM: Return to 3850 N. 35th St. for debrief

The 35th Street Traffic Safety Improvements Project will be included in the  Connecting the Corridor Strategic Action Plan – an amendment to the Near North Area Plan.
