The David Schulz Aquatic Center, located in Lincoln Park in Milwaukee is one of two public pools on the North side. As one of the newest pools in Milwaukee, it hosts low cost swim lessons to area residents (10 lessons for $5). The pool is a socio-economic meeting center, as area residents not only from the North side of Milwaukee use it but also those from Glendale, Whitefish bay, and Shorewood. It is a safe place for young people to go, in a city where youth have less and less safe places. To take this away from the community would be a devastating loss of an asset that keeps youth safe, engages families, promotes equity, and helps teach people to swim at an extremely affordable rate. Help us save this resource!
