Video: "We need to build a foundation."

https://vimeo.com/18939860020161027_095909 This video, commissioned by NWSCDC, was shown publicly for the first time at our Economic Development Forum on Thursday, Oct 27.Description: "The north area of Milwaukee's 30th Street Industrial Corridor is in a process of transformation. Development over the last 100 years was focused on industrial access to a major rail spur — the 30th Street Corridor — and all of the nearby neighborhoods were economically tied to this major jobs center.Today the landscape has changed dramatically, and will continue to change in the future. Residents and neighbors connect to strengthen the social fabric and promote new opportunities. Major investments from the City of Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District are improving the infrastructure to address flooding concerns and to prepare the area for new development.20161027_104116This video, commissioned by the Northwest Side Community Development Corporation, highlights community perspective on the past, present, and future of the north corridor area. See the north corridor like you haven't seen it before: Garden Homes neighborhood, Century City Business Park, Lincoln Creek, and more — from 27th Street to 35th Street, and Hampton Ave to Townsend Ave."
