NWSCDC's Financial Literacy Workshop Series: Bookkeeping

  • NWSCDC Office 4201 N. 27th Street, 7th Floor Milwaukee (map)

NWSCDC is proud to collaborate with Ross Financial, LLC and Providers Taking Action Support Group Phase II (PTA) to offer an informative financial management workshop series to child care businesses operating in Milwaukee!

The four-session workshop series will provide an in depth overview of business financial management. The series is designed to help child care businesses identify financial management practices and tools that are commonly available to a small business, how to apply them, and to understand the impact it has on one’s child care business.

The June 29th session will focus on the importance of monthly bookkeeping. Individuals will learn what bookkeeping tasks should be completed each month, enter and post routine financial transactions in QuickBooks, complete their bank reconciliations, and create systems for proper documentation such as receipts, invoices, and timesheets.

If you are interested in attending, please complete the registration form found HERE.

Workshop structure: 1.5 hour presentation / 30 minutes open for questions from attendees.

Important Notes:

  • Child care providers wanting to register must be operating business owners

  • Workshop series available for both Family & Group child care providers

  • Business owners have to attend all workshop sessions in order to receive credit from the Wisconsin Registry

  • There will be a certificate issued upon completion of the Financial Literacy Series
