Neighborhood Anti-Litter Campaign about to Launch!

Led by Northwest Side Community Development Corporation (NWSCDC) and Friends of Lincoln Park, an anti-litter campaign is about to launch.

Several other groups also joined in the effort. Funding was also provided by a 2017 Sweetwater mini-grant and by the Nearby Nature project of the Sierra Club Great Waters Group. Residents for Change is a block-club group  that has done many litter cleanups with NWSCDC. The Milwaukee County Parks Department is an important stakeholder in all Lincoln Park Friends efforts.

Special attention is on neighborhood waterways such as neighborhoods along the Lincoln Creek Greenway. The sign includes a URL and QR-Code that take users to a website with a “Clean Neighborhoods, Parks and Waters Pledge”. www.LincolnParkFriends.org/CleanWater/. The Web page includes tips and links for keeping our neighborhoods and waters clean.

We're excited to see these signs start to pop up around Lincoln Creek! Make sure to take the pledge at http://lincolnparkfriends.org/cleanwater/index.htmlPosted by Northwest Side Community Development Corporation on Thursday, April 19, 2018
