Rally for Safe Streets helping to build momentum!
NWSCDC is pleased to be part of the community conversation around solutions to curb reckless driving and save lives through safer streets. We held our Rally for Safe Streets on Monday, October 9 and had about 50 community members present at 31st and Capitol to advocate for safety. Common Council President Ashanti Hamilton spoke with reporters, and neighbors and NWSCDC staff held signs and marched to show our resolve against reckless driving. We have already noticed a significant increase in police traffic enforcement patrols, and NWSCDC attended recent press conferences by MPD Chief Flynn and members of the Common Council to further address the issues. Let's keep building momentum for solutions to save lives!
