Sharing Community Engagement Success with Barbara Moore

Barbara Moore has been very busy in her first few months at NWSCDC connecting with all of our partners in the NSP Area 4.  Barbara's passion for community development shines through in the conversations with residents who are connecting with resources.  Below are a few collections of photos from August and September highlighting positive developments in NSP Area 4. As neighbors on a block of N 25th Street connected for the first time at a recent event, a grandmother remarked on the opportunity to meet her neighbors. She said, "Now that I know who is living here, I'll watch out for all of these children like my own grandchildren."  We couldn't ask for a better demonstration of the value of block groups!Another block group getting active is at 14th Street and Atkinson Ave.  Community members brought food to share and temporarily closed the street to enjoy fun activities.  14th Street is near the center of the Arlington Heights neighborhood, bounded by I-43 to the east, Capitol Drive to the north, 20th Street to the west, and Keefe Ave to the south.
